-Artem Medicam inter primas apud omnes gentes in exercitio fuisse,
-et ipsius rei natura probat et historia quoque omnium temporum
-testatur. Hanc vero disciplinam, generi humano saluberrimam, non

-excuset synonyma denominatio latina _Cardialgia_, in fennica tamen
-multo magis vagum habet sensum, cum omnes fere morbos significet,
-quorum symptomata aut regionem epigastricam aut thoracis inferiora
-quocumque modo feriant. Ejusdem generis est _Riisi_ quod complures
-et diversos significat infantum morbus chronicos; -- et multa alia.
-Caussas vero morborum exquirere neglexerunt, cum superstitiose easdem
-a daemone quodam malo aut ab hominibus daemonica quadam vi
-praeditis organismo illatas esse opinarentur. Quod vero ad curam
-morborum attinet, partira exstatica quadam inspiratione ducti remedia
-invenerunt interdum non omnino abhorrentia, partim vero, hanc
-immediatae, ut ita dicam, indaginis viam deserentes, in varia pericula
-aberrarunt. Negari equidem non potest, in quibusdam morbis medicamenta
-sua seu arcana feliciter adhibuisse et ad huc, adhibere Fennonura magos;
